Leah Bae is the Founder & Principal of Cause Digital, a digital-first consultancy for social impact. Leah leads and collaborates to help social impact startups, nonprofits, and political organizations create compelling digital campaigns and community engagement strategies.
Two issues close to Leah’s heart are mental health and civic engagement. She is the Co-founder of The Burnout Project, a mental health nonprofit, and Civic Tech Vancouver, a community examining civic issues through design and technology. She has been recognized for her work as a Community Builder Fellow by On Deck, DiverseCity Fellow by CivicAction, Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, Social Innovation Fellow by RADIUS SFU, and TD Scholar for Community Leadership,
Leah brings a global outlook to her thinking. She has travelled to 40+ countries, and has lived in and worked on projects in North America, Europe, and Asia with organizations like Bloom, Stratcom, Freeformers, Doteveryone, and Futurpreneur. She began her career at TD Bank.
Leah approaches her work through a servant leadership style. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of YWCA Toronto and formerly chaired the Board of Directors at CityHive. Leah holds active memberships with the Banff Forum, Global Shapers Toronto Hub, and Sandbox, She graduated from Queen’s University with a B.A. in Global Development Studies and has trained in Mental Health First Aid.
